Belarusian High-Tech Park adds 62 new resident companies

The Hi-Tech Park made a decision to register 62 companies as HTP residents in the most recent batch of reviewing membership applications. See the Park´s newsletter for details.

"Among the newcomers are representatives of various spheres, including financial technologies, e-commerce, gaming industry, logistics and crypto mining. 10 companies with foreign capital, including five development centers, have become HTP residents," the statement says.

Of the foreign-owned additions, "Braavo Development" plans to develop and promote the web-platform for alternative investment. "Tripledot" will carry out design, development, modification, testing, technical support, and further maintenance of mobile games.

Many of the HTP´s residents are subsidiaries which function as product development centers for foreign IT companies.

Earlier this year park residents were disappointed with a change in the special tax regime which the park residents enjoy – personal income taxes for resident companies´ employees were increased from a 9 % fixed rate to 13 %. Although the increase doesn´t significantly affect residents´ bottom lines, it was nevertheless seen as a breach of promises made in terms of the park´s tax regime.
