Online Invoice 3.0

The third phase of the online data transmission of sales invoices goes live on 1 January 2021.

The National Tax and Customs Authority (NAV) implements what is called NAV 3.0 in a few days. The first data transmission were obligatory in July 2018, when the invoices with HUF 100,000 or more VAT were to be reported online and instantly. Phase 2 is live since July 2020, which refers to all the invoices issued to other VAT registered taypayers, mostly domestic companies. But from January 2021, practically all the sales invoices are to be reported, icluded those issued to individuals and foreign companies. The public, commercial online invoicing systems are fully prepared for it, just like the popular ERPs. But if you have your own, tailored accounting or ERP system, you better check its features.
