Decreasing Taxes In The Proposal For 2018

The official proposal of tax laws for 2018 include various amendments, such as

  • the special tax of SMEs drops from 14% to 13%,
  • the health contribution payable from property rental income of individuals (14%) is cancelled,
  • the VAT of internet services drops from 18% to 5%,
  • the VAT of fish drops from 27% to 5%.

The social contribution payable on gross salaries will decrease further in 2018, to 20% as prescribed in the law last year. At the same time, the minimum salaries increase: for unskilled jobs by 8%, for skilled jobs by 12%.
