An agreement has been signed to raise both the minimum wage and the guaranteed minimum wage in Hungary starting January 1, 2026. This adjustment aims to support employees and reflect economic developments in the country.
- Minimum wage will increase by 11%, reaching HUF 322,800 gross per month.
- Guaranteed minimum wage will rise by 7%, amounting to HUF 373,200 gross per month.
After taxes and contributions, the net minimum wage (without benefits) will be HUF 214,662, while the net guaranteed minimum wage will be HUF 248,178.
These changes are significant for employers and employees alike, as they impact payroll planning and labor costs for 2026. Companies should review their salary structures and ensure compliance with the new regulations.
