Change In The Most Popular Fringe Benefit

While the tax discount limits do not change next year, there will be some practical amendments in the use of the SZÉP cards, the most popular form of fringe benefits for the employees. Every card holder will receive his own account numbers for each “pocket” of card (accommodation, catering, recreation), and the employer can transfer the amounts directly to the respective accounts of each employee. The employer will not have to transfer them to the service provider and the distribution lists will also become outdated. It is important to inform the employees to update their contact details at the providers because they should receive their account number before the end of this year.

The application for new cards will also change: it will be the job of the employee instead of the employer.
