Leinonen Lithuania welcomes the new country manager

Povilas Sadaunykas has been appointed as the new director of Leinonen Lithuania. In this position, he replaces Milda Ugianskienė, who has been the head of the company for two years. Milda will continue her professional career in the Leinonen group and will be responsible for human resources management and the development of an excellent employee experience for the whole group.

“We have appointed a financial professional with more than 10 years of experience in international financial companies to lead the Leinonen Lithuania team. We set the goal for the new country manager to maintain Lithuania’s leadership in the group of companies, to continue business development by providing high-quality services, and to share good practices with Leinonen representative offices in other countries,” says Seppo Hämäläinen, CEO of the Leinonen group of companies.

According to the head of the Leinonen group, P. Sadaunykas begins to lead the company in an exceptional period.

“The last few years have put forward many new requirements for the accounting of multinational companies. The economies of different countries have faced unequal effects and containment measures of the coronavirus pandemic, the legislative and tax environment has changed, and governments in each country have decided individually what support measures to apply to businesses and for some time, explains Mr. Hämäläinen. “Our companies in all countries need to be well versed not only in tax and legal regulation but also in helping businesses to quickly find out what solutions are most effective to take in each period. We are convinced that Povilas’ many years of experience in the financial market and high managerial competence will help us to better meet the needs of our clients in such a dynamic market situation.”

Seppo Hämäläinen notes that the financial accounting and business consulting market in Lithuania is currently distinguished by an increase in the number of liquidation proceedings, which is influenced by the constantly changing economic situation and high uncertainty. According to the CEO of the Leinonen group, for the above reasons, investments are slowing down, savings programs are activated, and salary policies are more carefully evaluated.

Before joining the team of the Leinonen group of companies, for 2 years Povilas has been the CEO of the specialized bank “Mano bankas”, before that he was responsible for the development of Swedbank’s digital banking channels for 5 years, and earlier he worked as a business development manager at Nordea bank.

“When deciding to join Leinonen, the group’s clearly defined and personally close strategy – an uncompromising focus on service quality and excellent client experience – had the greatest influence,” comments Povilas. “I believe that stable and successful operation in the financial market can only be achieved by maintaining high customer trust. That is what we will be focusing on with the whole team.”
