Currently, IMF is withholding the next loan tranche until required prerequisites are met by the Ukrainian government. One of the demands - establishing an anticorruption court - has been established by Ukraine. But another IMF’s requirement - increasing gas prices for Ukraine's domestic consumers - is still not met.

If the IMF tranche is not secured, Ukraine will be facing a liquidity crisis just before elections of 2019.
