10 days quarantine is mandatory when entering Norway, when entering from high infection area (red area). A PCR corona test is needed when entering Norwegian border. The quarantine period may be shortened if a PCR test is carried out with negative result after 7 days from entry. If quarantine is not carried out in a special quarantine hotel, another test is mandatory. If lacking test capacity, the testers may refuse the test. In that case, it is not possible to shorten the quarantine period.
There are only few exceptions to the entry quarantine, mainly family reasons. Like a funeral. The quarantine does not apply to transit passengers.
