If an employee works in Norway from abroad, several things must be taken into account. Which country pays the social security? In which country is income tax paid? Different countries have different rules, so it’s worth finding out the laws of the land of work before going abroad. The length of the working time abroad usually decides the final result. In the worst case, if the work abroad continues for too long, the employer may be obliged to establish an employer company in the country where the work is done.

Attached is a link about the social security situation in different countries, but the link is available only in Norwegian.
