Changes in employment contracts

Rules of concluding employment contracts change in September.

The new provisions of the Labour Code will be effective from 1 September 2016. The Employer will have to sign an agreement with the employee before the first day of job. In the case when the conclusion of the employment contract won’t be made in a written form, the employer will be required to submit the employee arrangements for the conclusion of the contract. Currently, the conclusion of a written agreement and the confirmation in written form, have to be made no later than the end of the first day of work. The purpose of this amendment is a worker comfort and sense of security during work. In a situation when it comes to a dispute with the employer, the employee will be able to present confirmed conditions of his employment.

It is also worth mentioning that it will improve the control of labor inspectors and facilitate finding illegal employment.
