An authorized accounting firm has been examined, approved and certified by the Association of Finnish Accounting Firms. Reviewing the accounting firm’s business procedures’ quality and adequacy is done during a two-year review period, after which the firm receives its authorization.
Authorization is a guarantee of high level, professional financial administrative services, following the high-level industry standards set by the Association. Industry standards include guidelines regarding ethical accounting practices, reliability and quality of service. The requirements for an accounting firm applying for authorization are quite high, e.g. the firm must have a KTL-certified managing accountant, and solid experience from the industry.
